JHR’s Night for Rights

March 25, 2008

This Friday, Journalists for Human Rights (JHR), an NGO that is close to our hearts (as Paul used to work there), is throwing their annual Night for Rights Party at the Berkley Church in Toronto. JHR works directly with media institutions in Africa to ensure that human rights information is distributed as wildly as possible. It’s not the sexiest work in the world, but when you think of the extent to which the media shapes all of our perceptions about the world we live in, it’s impossible to deny it’s an integral piece of the development puzzle. Visit the event website to buy tickets.
